DARLINGTON - A deputy along with the Belmont Fire Department and Belmont EMS responded at 5:40 a.m. Monday, May 28, to a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont. Caley M. Edwards, 24, was driving northbound when she hit a deer. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on County I in the Town of New Diggings at 2:51 p.m. Sunday, May 27, after Michael D. Dempsey, 49, Palatine, Ill., lost control of a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle on a curve. The motorcycle veered into the ditch and overturned. It was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
