Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a ATV/UTV accident at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Cheese Country Trail in the W9200 block of Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Cadiz. Deputies report Andrew M. Walters, 20, Platteville, was riding his ATV westbound when he stopped for a stop sign at a driveway. Walters' ATV was then rear ended by a UTV (utility vehicle) driven by Jacob A. Medinger, 16, Browntown, who was also westbound on the trail. Medinger stated the ATV had created a dust cloud and he did not see the stop sign coming up. Walters was ejected from his ATV. Medinger was wearing a helmet with goggles. Walters was only wearing goggles. Walters sustained injuries, but declined medical attention at the scene. Medinger was not injured. Walters' ATV received moderate damage to the back while Medinger's UTV received minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• Kevin W. Bouers, 42, Brodhead, was southbound when a deer collided with his truck at about 9 p.m. Wednesday on County E north of County EE in the Town of Albany. The truck received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday on County X in Belmont township. Deputies report Chris A. Redfearn, 40, Benton, lost control of his motorcycle, which traveled into the ditch and rolled onto its side. The motorcycle received moderate damage.
