MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 11th Street and 17th Avenue. Police report Timothy C. Hess, 19, Monroe, struck a vehicle operated by Richard L. Newcomer, 79, Monroe. Hess was cited for failing to obey a traffic sign.

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about at about 10:45 a.m. Friday on County C west of Silver Road in the town of Mt. Pleasant. Deputies report a vehicle driven by a Kayla D Graff, 19, Belleville, was traveling west when she became distracted and took her eyes off the road. Graff entered the ditch line and struck a utility pole. Graff was wearing her seatbelt, and her two children were seated in child safety seats. The vehicle was not equipped with airbags. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Graff and her children declined medical attention at the scene but were later checked at the Monroe Clinic emergency room and released. Graff was cited for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and was given a future court date.
