Shirley A. Barth, age 77, of Monroe, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at U.W. Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 7, 1940 in Blanchardville, the daughter of Milton and Gladys (Venden) Erickson Sr. She graduated from Blanchardville High School.
Shirley and Dale Barth were united in marriage on November 30, 1963 in Blanchardville.
In her younger years Shirley worked at Roy's Dairy and Sears and later farmed alongside her husband on the family farm.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Shirley enjoyed dancing and listening to old time music; but her greatest joy was spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Barth and Angela (Chad) Moore, both of Monroe; grandchildren: Dana and Dillion Moore; siblings, Gloria Treuthardt, Stan (Carol) Erickson, Rae (Earl) Boeshaar, Frank "Pete" Erickson, Terry (Karen) Erickson, Linda (Bernie) Bernhardt, Wendy (Ray) Spellman and many beloved nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Mary Erickson, Pat Erickson and Peg Miller.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale in 2015; brothers, Dwayne, Jerry Erickson and Milton Erickson Jr.; and sister, Marcia (Delbert) Peterson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Kathleen Rinear officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17th, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is serving the family.
