Roland J. Winn, age 76, of Monroe, died on Monday, August 12, 2013 at his home. He was born on November 6, 1936 in rural Blanchardville, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Meudt) Winn. Roland was a 1954 graduate of South Wayne High School.

Roland and Marlene Grossen were married on August 16, 1959 in Browntown.

Roland was a dairy farmer in the Winslow area most of his life, he later worked as a guest service representative for Arlington Hilton Hotel for 23 years.

Roland was an avid golfer, enjoyed flying his own Piper Airplane, playing cards, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

His wonderful sense of humor and quick wit brought joy to all who knew and loved him.

Roland is survived by his wife Marlene of Monroe; he is also survived by a very Special Person in his life Jayne Neises of Monroe; daughters, Denise (Jan) Miller of Monroe, Lynn (Linda) Kuntzelman (Andy Alongi) of McConnell, IL; grandchildren: Amber (Cassie) Evonovich, Erin Kuntzelman, Ashley and Adam Miller, great-grandchildren he adored: Mackenzie, Mylee, Ashton and Cade, sisters, Carol Hafen of Juda and Nancy (Roger) Schumacher of Janesville; several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents and son Michael.

A Celebration of Rollie's life will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the American Legion 1627 12th Ave., in Monroe.
