Roland A. Hasselmann age 76 of Juda, Wisconsin died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born November 1, 1936 at Des Plaines, Illinois the son of Alvin and Florence (Piske) Hasselmann and graduated from Main Township High School at Des Plaines. Roland joined the US Army Reserves at age 17 and at age 20 joined the US Navy where he served in Japan & Alaska.

Roland married Carol Pierce August 20, 1960 in Woodstock, IL. They resided in Woodstock for about 30 years, later moving to Boone County & the Rockford area. They enjoyed wintering in Florida, volunteering at Christian missions and the local church. Roland established a mushroom business in the Woodstock area and also was a skilled welder. Later in life he entered the insurance business and remained there for several years.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Hasselmann of Juda, WI; daughter, Pam (Phil) McClain of Valrico, FL; sons, Jeff (Debbie) Hasselmann of Belvidere, IL & Steve (Sandi) Hasselmann of Juda, WI; brother, Don Hasselmann of Orange, TX; sister, Laurelle Linnabary of Cincinnati, OH; 8 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Monroe Bible Church.

A Celebration of Roland's Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Monroe Bible Church 2613 8th Avenue in Monroe, with pastors Daniel Krahenbuhl & Jesse Beernink officiating.

Memorials to Monroe Bible Church in Roland's memory would be appreciated by the family.
