Monroe Police

MONROE - On Tuesday, June 25:

• A citation is pending against a 22-year-old man for doing burnouts and doughnuts in the area of 8th Avenue and 19th Street, after police responded at 10:40 p.m. to a traffic complaint. The vehicle was gone from the immediate area when police arrived, but marks were left on the pavement and smoke was still hanging in the air. The offender and his vehicle were located nearby.

• A trespassing complaint was reported at 11:28 p.m. at an apartment the 900 block of 23rd Street. An unknown person forced open a door, then fled when it was evident someone was at home.

On Wednesday, June 26:

• Police responded at 11:26 a.m. to a complaint of junk around a property in the 800 block of 19th Avenue. The complaint was unfounded, but an officer warned the property owner for having two unregistered vehicles parked illegally.

• A caller at 1:27 p.m. in the 1900 block of 25th Street asked whether an ice cream truck driving around town has a license to operate. It does.

• An anonymous caller at 2:11 p.m. complained of a pile of grass clippings in the backyard of a residence in the 2700 block of 8th Street. The complaint was unfounded as it is not against city code to have grass clippings piled in a yard.

• Police were called to Monroe Clinic at 2:36 p.m. for an escalating disagreement between a patient and family member who were unhappy with a doctor. The situation had calmed by the time police arrived.

• A disturbance at the municipal pool at Recreation Park was reported at 3:55 p.m. A young man and two young women were asked to leave because they were violating pool rules. They refused and swore at the lifeguard. One punched a bystander. Citations may be pending.

• A resident in the 200 block of West 22nd Street Court was warned not to do mechanical work on a trailer in the street, instead in a driveway or garage, after police responded at 4:49 p.m. to a neighbor's complaint.

• A stray dog that's been knocking over trash cans and digging through the garbage was reported at 5:05 p.m. in the area of 20th Avenue and 16th Street. The dog was gone by the time an officer arrived.

• Police responded at 5:53 p.m. to a complaint that a dog had been left in a parked vehicle at Aldi, 640 W. 8th St. The dog's owner came out of the store when police arrived. The dog appeared fine.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, June 26:

• Eric G. Leibold, 47, Monroe, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. at a residence on Horizon Court in Sylvester Township on a Department of Corrections warrant.

• Pamela A. Wyss, 46, Monroe, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. at a residence in Monroe on a Department of Corrections warrant.

• Richard E. Carr, 22, Monroe, was cited for speeding and for driving with a revoked license, no vehicle registration and no vehicle insurance at 11:21 a.m. on Wisconsin 11 at Keller Road in Clarno Township.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, June 26:

• Tracey M. Zsido, 41, Argyle, was taken into custody at 12:22 p.m. at a residence on North Broad Street in Argyle for a violation of bond conditions. She had been released from the Lafayette County Jail an hour earlier, and a condition of her release was no contact with the residence. She was again jailed.

• Monico Guadalupe-Ramirez, 25, Shullsburg, was arrested on charges of domestic abuse-related battery, strangulation and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, after police responded at 9:14 p.m. to a report of a disturbance at a residence on West Water Street in Shullsburg. A Wisconsin state trooper assisted at the scene. Guadalupe-Ramirez was jailed.

• Deputies responded at 3:22 a.m. to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Park Street in Belmont.

• A cat bite of a juvenile was reported at 9:43 a.m. on East High Street in Shullsburg.

• Deputies assisted Lafayette County Human Services by taking custody of a 16-year-old boy and transporting him to a juvenile facility in Prairie du Chien.

• A deputy took a report of telephone harassment from a complainant at a residence on County Z in Kendall Township. The person was receiving unwanted text messages.

• The theft of a small utility trailer from a yard behind a residence on West Water Street in Shullsburg was reported at 8:45 p.m.
