- The theft of a green canoe with aluminum molding and two wooden oars was reported Saturday, July 21. The canoe had a name written in black marker on the molding. Anyone with information about the canoe is urged to call dispatch at (608) 862-3255.

MONROE - Ashley D. Olson, 21, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, after police responded to a report of a disturbance behind Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. The alleged victim is a 27-year-old Monroe man and the father of Olson's child. Very minor injuries were reported. Olson was jailed pending court.
- Two boys, ages 16 and 13, were arrested at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, after police investigated a disturbance at the Green County Fair, 2500 10th St. The 16-year-old is charged with disorderly conduct while armed with a pocket knife. The 13-year-old is charged with disorderly conduct and battery. Both boys were released to their parents.
- A resident in the 1700 block of 21st Avenue reported fraudulent use of a debit card at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20. Police are investigating a suspect.
- Police responded to a report of a man passed out on a picnic table outside Sinner's Saloon, 1428 17th St., at 1:33 a.m. Saturday, July 21. He was turned over to the care of a family member.
- A 36-year-old Monroe man reported at 3 a.m. Saturday, July 21, that he had been assaulted by two unknown white male suspects within the past half hour in the 1600 or 1700 block of 13th Avenue. He was transported by ambulance to a Madison hospital for substantial facial injuries. He told police the attack happened while he was walking home from an area bar and that they didn't take anything from him. Police are investigating.
- A resident in the 2500 block of 9th Street reported at 2:34 p.m. Saturday, July 21, a window on the home had been broken by a thrown rock during the previous night.
- The theft of a blue Suzuki 1100 motorcycle was reported at 2:28 a.m. Sunday, July 22, in the 800 block of West 8th Avenue. Later the same day, at 5:46 p.m., police took a report that the ignition wires had been tampered with on another motorcycle in the same area. The incidents may be related. Police are investigating.
- A camera was reported lost in the downtown square area at 2:27 p.m. Sunday, July 22. If found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.
- A woman in the 500 block of West 21st Street reported that her 13-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son were uncontrollable and had gone missing. The children were later located. Police referred the case to Green County Human Services.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS - Michelle Grady, 32, Monona, was arrested in the 100 block of 5th Street at 12:59 a.m. Sunday, July 15, on a warrant issued by Dane County for failure to appear in civil court. Police made the arrest after Grady flagged them down requesting help finding her car because she couldn't remember where she parked it. She signed paperwork and was issued another court date and released. Police located her car parked near the Police Department.
- Clinton Loggins, 27, New Glarus, was arrested at an unspecified location at 11:28 a.m. Friday, July 20, on a warrant issued by the Green County Circuit Court. He was jailed.
- Jordan T. Dorn, 24, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) after police observed a vehicle driving down the middle of the road on 6th Avenue, hitting pedestrian signs at 1st Street and 2nd Street, at 2:31 a.m. Sunday, July 22. Dorn was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and operating left of center. He was released to a responsible person pending court.
- Bernhardt T. Goebler, 86, Verona, was cited for speeding at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, in the 1100 block of Wisconsin 69.

MONROE - John Lyle Carothers Muszynski, 21, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department for failure to pay a fine at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, after deputies were dispatched to a report of an underage drinking party at a residence in the W4300 block of County K in the Town of Jefferson. He was jailed, then posted bond and was released. Cited for underage drinking were Aaron F. Hartwig, 20, Madison, and a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, both of Monroe. The 16-year-old was also cited for possessing tobacco. Additionally, Kasey Lynn Frances Wild, 17, was cited for dispensing/giving alcohol to underagers.
- Jamie L. Sofran, 38, Argyle, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (third offense) at 1:07 a.m. Sunday, July 22, following a one-vehicle crash on County KK and Coplien Road in the Town of Monroe. Sofran was reportedly speeding down 13th Street in Monroe when he lost control of the vehicle on County KK and veered into the ditch, hitting a mailbox and curb. There were no injuries. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed. Sofran was also cited for speeding and failure to maintain control.
- William Villanueva-Roman, Jr., 29, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (second offense) and on a warrant issued by Lafayette County for failure to pay a fine, after deputies responded at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, July 22, to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the N7200 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of Washington. Villanueva-Roman was northbound when he veered onto the gravel shoulder, slid into the ditch and was unable to drive the vehicle out. He was also cited for failure to maintain control and driving with a revoked license. He was jailed in Green County. At 9 a.m., a Lafayette County deputy transported him to the Lafayette County Jail.
- James R. Schilz, 45, Monroe, was cited for driving at an unreasonable/imprudent speed after deputies responded at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, July 22, to a two-vehicle crash blocking the on-ramp to Wis. 81/69 southbound. Paul L. Hamstra, 60, Clinton, Iowa, was stopped at the stop sign awaiting traffic to clear when he was rearended by Schilz. Schilz told deputies he tried to stop but the vehicle did not appear to want to stop. There were no injuries. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
- Pedro Rodriguez Garcia, 21, Beloit, was cited for driving without a valid license and speeding after deputies stopped a motorcycle for a traffic infraction on Wis. 11/81 east of Lumber Yard Road in the Town of Jefferson at 4:33 p.m. Sunday, July 22.
- Jillian A. Gowen, Blanchardville, was cited for driving with a suspended license (ninth offense) and operating left of center after deputies responded at 6:32 p.m. Sunday, July 22, to a traffic complaint at County CC at Nye Road in the Town of Exeter.

- Dustin M. O'Connell, 26, Prairie du Chien, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, making an illegal U-turn and having open intoxicants in a vehicle at 3:17 a.m. Saturday, July 21, on Broad Street in Argyle. He was later released to a responsible adult.
- Jerry K. Dykes, 25, Platteville, was transported to Grant County and turned over to the custody of a Grant County Sheriff's deputy at 1:18 p.m. Saturday, July 21. He had been arrested in Lafayette County on a warrant issued by Grant County.
