MONROE - Cesar M. Montero, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department, after police responded to a 911 call reporting a man and woman arguing in a trailer park in the 700 block of 17th Street at 10:54 p.m. Saturday, June 29. Police didn't see anyone upon arrival. An officer hung around the neighborhood a while, heard screaming and, after investigating on foot, located Montero trying to hide outside. Montero reportedly gave the officer two names for himself, so he was taken to the sheriff's department for a fingerprint check to reveal his real identity. He was jailed.
Adam D. Fiorucci, 25, Monroe, was arrested in the 1700 block of 15th Street at 6:32 p.m. Sunday, June 30, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department. He was jailed.
Steven A. Steiner, 20, Browntown, was cited for underage drinking, obstructing an officer and resisting an officer, after police responded at 11:01 p.m. Friday, June 28, to a complaint that someone was doing doughnuts in the parking lot of Aldi, 640 W. 8th St. He reportedly tried to mislead police by saying he hadn't been driving the car doing doughnuts, then struggled while he was being handcuffed. He was released to a responsible person.
Steven R. Guptill, 62, Monroe, was cited for shoplifting three candy bars, a total value of $5.67, from Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St., at 8:29 a.m. Saturday, June 29.
On Friday, June 28:
A woman came into the police station at 11:49 a.m. to report there were two baby raccoons under a vehicle in the 800 block of 19th Street. The raccoons were gone on police arrival.
An 11-year-old boy was punched by another student during summer school at Monroe High School, a parent reported at 2:26 p.m.
A caller at 5:04 p.m. reported a stray cat has been hanging around the 800 block of 6th Street but nobody has yet been able to catch it.
A car stereo remote was found in the 1600 block of 10th Street and brought at 8:45 p.m. to the police station, where it can be claimed.
Police were called to a verbal dispute between live-in girlfriend and boyfriend at 10:01 p.m. in the 1600 block of 11th Street. They went their separate ways.
On Saturday, June 29:
A gas drive-off was reported at 2:35 a.m. at Stop-N-Go, 1607 9th St.
A caller at 3:25 a.m. reported seeing a man sleeping or laying partially in the roadway in the area of 13th Street and 17th Avenue. The 29-year-old Madison man was incapacitated by alcohol and had passed out while out walking a dog. A family member came to get him.
A homing pigeon was found at 1:05 p.m. in the 200 block of 8th Street. It was alive and well, so an officer who responded advised they just release it.
A dispute between two women over harassing texts and phone calls was reported at 1:06 p.m. in the 300 block of 4th Street. Both were warned to stop.
A stray kitten was reported at 1:26 p.m. in the 1700 block of 16th Street.
An intoxicated woman was warned to leave after police responded to a complaint at 2:55 p.m. that she showed up, unwanted, at a residence in the 500 block of West 21st Street to claim property she said her son lent to the residents.
A caller at 3:20 p.m. reported a stray white and black cat has been hanging around an apartment building in the 800 block of 6th Street and nobody can catch it.
A resident was warned to turn down his music after police responded at 7:44 p.m. to an anonymous complaint of loud music in the 1000 block of 17th Street.
Police responded at 11:42 p.m. to a complaint of a man passed out on a terrace at 19th Avenue and 11th Street. The 23-year-old Browntown man was incapacitated by alcohol. He was released to a friend.
On Sunday, June 30:
A resident in the 600 block of Sunrise Court was warned at 9:40 a.m. for having long grass. He said he'd mow it by July 2.
The theft of a stop sign and post was reported at 10:44 a.m. from the intersection of 15th Avenue and 15th Street. The streets department replaced the sign.
A landlord reported at 3:50 p.m. that a tenant in the 500 block of 19th Avenue was supposed to be out by the next day, and the house is dirty, damaged
and full of personal property. Police advised the
landlord this is a civil
matter, not criminal.
A stray kitten was found at 4:02 p.m. in the 2200 block of 17th Street and taken to the Green County Humane Society.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS - Ayodeji O. Arowosegbe, 40, Sun Prairie, was cited for driving without a valid license after police stopped him for an equipment violation on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, June 27.
Samuel D. Sink, 21, Monroe, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him for a registration violation on 11th Avenue at 1st Street at 5:51 p.m. Friday, June 28.
A vehicle key found in the village was turned over to police at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.
Police responded to a downtown business to check the welfare of an intoxicated person at 3:03 p.m. Sunday, June 30.
Police were called to a verbal dispute at 9:39 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at the School House apartments, 413 6th Ave. The parties went their separate ways.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE - Matthew T. Tousignant, 26, Monroe, was arrested for a violation of bond after deputies responded to a report of fireworks or gunshots in the area of N3500 block of Sylvester Road at 1:11 a.m. Sunday, June 30. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Tousignant, who was jailed pending bond or court. A charge of misdemeanor bail jumping was filed against him the next day in Green County Circuit Court. His signature bond is set at $1,000. He pleaded not guilty and has a pre-trial conference Aug. 6.

DARLINGTON - Following a traffic stop on the Cheese Country Trail at 3:02 p.m. Saturday, June 29, Donna J. Olson, 52, Janesville, was arrested on a valid warrant issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Department. She posted bond and was released. During the same stop, a 15-year-old was cited for failure to have an ATV certificate.
Heather J. Loeffelholz, 27, Cuba City, was cited for speeding on Wis. 81 in Elk Grove Township at 7:51 a.m. Friday, June 28.
