ALBANY Police

ALBANY - On Saturday, the following individuals were cited for outside consumption of alcohol:

• Robert L. Haas, 65, Janesville

• Patsy L. Haas, 58, Janesville

• Alan L. Boley, 50, Janesville

• Kelsey A. Jacobson, 27, Madison

• Bruce F. Haag, 30, Madison

On Sunday:

• Casey C. Chamberlain, 25, Verona, was arrested on a first-offense charge of intoxicated driving and cited for speeding.

• Ricky S. Coplien, 30, Argyle, was cited for displaying an unauthorized vehicle registration and driving with a suspended license.

• Jordan Brisbois, 20, Cottage Grove, was cited for underage drinking.



BRODHEAD Police

BRODHEAD - Police responded at 8:02 a.m. Aug. 10 to the 1100 block of 4th Street for a report of a missing pole-mounted radar/speed sign. The case is under investigation.

• A 72-year-old Waverly, Iowa man was cited for driving without a valid license at 6:55 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• A 20-year-old Footville man was cited for speeding at 2:36 a.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of East 3rd Avenue.

• A 24-year-old Beloit woman was cited for driving with a suspended license and failing to stop at stop sign at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Police responded at 1:50 p.m. Thursday to the 900 block of W. Exchange Street for a report of walls being spray-painted. The case is under investigation.

• An 85-year-old Janesville woman was cited for speeding at 10:59 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of 1st Street.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

On Friday:

• Adolfo Pineda, 18, Janesville, was cited for driving without a valid license after deputies responded to a report at 1:46 a.m. of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the N1900 block of County T in the Town of Spring Grove. Pineda stated he had stopped on County T because he tired.

• Peter J. Bonlie, 59, Brodhead, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after deputies and Brodhead police responded at 9:07 p.m. to the W500 block of County F in the Town of Decatur to check the welfare of a subject stumbling on the roadway. Bonlie was jailed. In court Monday, Bonlie stood mute on the two charges and had his signature bond set at $1,000, with conditions that he not drink or enter bars or liquor stores. A pre-trial conference is scheduled Oct. 6.

On Saturday:

• Dennis O. Said, 69, Blanchardville, was arrested on an Iowa County warrant for issuance of worthless check at 1:40 a.m. at a residence on Sawmill Road in the Town of York. He was released.

• Sheli L. Ripp, 44, Blanchardville, was arrested on a charge of felony bail jumping at 5:06 a.m. on County A at County H in the Town of York. She was jailed.

• Michael W. Winder, 48, Rockford, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and strangulation at 11:13 p.m. after deputies responded to a report of domestic abuse at a residence on Sawmill Road in the Town of York. He was jailed.

On Sunday:

• Nathan T. Gill, 23, Burlington, was cited for first-offense intoxicated driving and driving too fast for conditions after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 5:08 p.m. in the N4500 block of County E in the Town of Decatur. Gill lost control on a curve and collided with a power pole. He and his passenger, Sierra M. Higginbotham, 23, Machesney Park, Ill., were injured and transported to Mercy Hospital in Janesville. The car was severely damaged and towed. The Brodhead Fire Department and Footville EMS assisted at the scene, along with Alliant Energy.

• Michelle R. Zoller, 36, Belleville, was arrested at the sheriff's department at 10:30 p.m. on a Rock County warrant for theft. She was turned over to Rock County.



NEW GLARUS Police

NEW GLARUS - On Aug. 10:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a traffic hazard at 10:45 p.m. in New Glarus Township.

On Aug. 11:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a 911 hang-up call at 12:05 a.m. in New Glarus Township.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department in the village by looking for a possible missing person at 4:50 p.m. The person in question was later located and found to be OK.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 10:42 p.m. with a report of an unknown large fire in New Glarus Township.

On Wednesday:

• Cody A. Sanders, 20, Sauk City, was cited at 5:12 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and having no vehicle insurance or vehicle registration.

• Police found an unsecured door to a business located in the village at 1:04 a.m. It was found to be an oversight.

On Thursday:

• Zachary E. Sanders, 27, Madison, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at 4:16 p.m. on Industrial Drive at Wis. 69.

• Devon K. Jacobson, 22, New Glarus, was cited for open intoxicants and possessing drug paraphernalia after police stopped a vehicle for equipment violations at 10:52 p.m. on 6th Avenue at 5th Street.

• Police assisted a citizen with a juvenile problem at 10:59 a.m. in the 200 block of 4th Avenue. The child was located and turned over to his grandmother.

• New Glarus Police Department assisted the Monticello Police Department on a traffic stop at 8:43 p.m. on East Coates Avenue at Aberhard Drive.

On Friday:

• Miranda C. Friske, 24, Monroe, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 5:34 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Police were dispatched to a fight in progress at 6:25 p.m. in front of the New Glarus Village Hall and found that there was no fight and the juveniles involved were just playing tag. No law enforcement action was taken.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Monticello Police Department with investigating a battery and felony bail jumping case at 7:07 p.m.

• Police received a complaint at 8:17 p.m. of a dog left inside a vehicle. The owner was located and was just picking up a child and leaving.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a 911 call at 8:19 p.m. in the 9100 block of Sawmill Road. Upon callback, the line did not pick up. It was found the resident had the phone in his pocket and didn't know that he had called 911.

• Police investigated a vehicle that had its headlamps and taillights flashing at 9:17 p.m. The vehicle was unlocked and the lights were turned off. The vehicle appeared to have some electrical issues. Contact was made with a business owner.

• At 10:44 p.m., police made contact with juveniles in Candy Cane Park. Verbal warnings were issued for being in the park after-hours and the juveniles were advised to move along.

• A bicycle sitting in a playground was found by police at 11:09 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

• Police took a complaint of a dog attacking another dog at 11:37 p.m. in the 300 block of Railroad Street.

On Saturday:

• Nicole A. Coby, 29, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance at 4:45 p.m. in the 100 block of 6th Avenue.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a report of a suspicious person at 12:16 a.m. in the York Church area. It was found that the person was stargazing and bicycling his way to Florida.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 12:45 a.m. with a welfare check and possible underage drinking party in the 9100 block of Sawmill Road. There was no underage party, but a warrant was found on one of the people there.

• Police took a complaint at 12:51 p.m. from a citizen who received an annoying voice message. The complainant just wanted it documented.

• A suspicious person was reported at 9:26 p.m. in a house in the 300 block of Heidi Court. Upon investigation, it was found that no one was in the house. No law enforcement action was taken.

On Sunday:

• Police received a report at 9:03 a.m. of a plastic cow that had been tipped on its side in the 600 block of 11th Street. The officer checked on the cow and set it back up. There was no damage other than a few small scratches to its side.

• Officers assisted the Madison Police Department with an investigation at 2:34 p.m.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Lisa L. Briggs, 49, Lyndon Station, was cited for an expired vehicle registration and failing to stop at a stop sign at 10:42 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

• Leona I. DeWitt, 69, Pecatonica, Ill., was cited for passing into oncoming traffic at 7:13 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.

• A deputy responded to a complaint of an erratic driver at 7:41 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Argyle. The driver was not located.

• A deputy responded for a report of criminal damage to property at 9:04 p.m. to County W in the Town of Gratiot.

On Saturday:

• Patrick Hanley, 19, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 12:57 a.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.

• Drew Rizzio, 48, Loves Park, Ill., was cited for speeding at 5:54 a.m. on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour.

• Tomas Gordon, 20, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 6:46 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

• Ronald Rush, 23, Darlington, was cited for throwing missiles from a vehicle at 7:11 p.m. on Country Club Court in the Town of Darlington.

• A deputy responded to assist with traffic control at 12:13 p.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

• A deputy responded for a traffic complaint at 8:30 p.m. on Country Club Court in the Town of Darlington.

On Sunday:

• Carl Knapp, 62, Darlington, was transported to the Lafayette County Jail on a probation and parole hold at 4:22 p.m. after a deputy responded to County F in the Town of Darlington for a warrant pickup.

• Amanda Kaprelian, 32, Cassville, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 6:57 p.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Elk Grove.

• Deputies responded to a battery complaint at 2:56 p.m. on North Judgment Street in Shullsburg.
