Nancy Carol (Camron) Celta, age 75 of Monroe died on Tuesday in the late afternoon, October 4, 2011 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe with her daughter by her side. She was born on August 25, 1936 at home in Monroe to Alvin "Dutch" & Janiece (Boyer) Camron. They lived in Monroe until she was in second grade when the family moved to Twin Grove, outside of Monroe, to care for her grandfather. She attended the Twin Grove School from 2nd to 8th grade, then attended the Monroe High School for ? a year, and then the family moved to Chicago where she attended and graduated from the Taft High School in Chicago in 1954. While in high school she worked at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. After high school she went to the Northwest Institute of Medical Laboratory Technique in Minneapolis to be a med-tech. After graduating in 1955 she worked at the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital for six years, leaving the job of lab supervisor to marry Robert Celta of Brookfield, Illinois. They were married on October 14, 1961 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe, and they settled in Brookfield, Illinois. She worked as a med-tech in the Chicago area while they lived in Brookfield and LaGrange Park, Illinois. Her daughter, Julie, was born in 1966. In July of 1977 Nancy and Bob divorced and she moved to Monroe with Julie to be closer to her mother and sister. Nancy worked in Monroe at The Monroe Clinic, St. Clare Hospital, Swiss Colony, Monroe Orthopedic Clinic, Wal-Mart and Charlton Group. She also worked at Blue Cross in Evansville for 12 years.

Nancy loved crafts, reading, music, shopping, concerts, plays, crossword puzzles, floral arranging, being with people, Bible & book studies, church involvement and fellowship groups, doing decoupage, latch hooking, crewel embroidery, watching birds, flowers, celebrating holidays, games, writing, and collecting angels and teddy bears, She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved to send cards, notes and letters. She was an active member of the Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Julie (Paul) Saether of Blanchardville; one sister, Sue (Jeff Bindel) Doyle of Weyauwega, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Sarah and Jeff Saether; one niece, Jennifer (Mat) Wilhelms of Monroe; and a great-niece, Cameron Wilhelms. She was preceded in death by her parents and one child in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe with Rev. Marilyn Sandin-Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Twin Grove Cemetery in Jefferson Township near Monroe. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Monroe. The Saether Funeral Home in Blanchardville and the Newcomer Funeral Home in Monroe are assisting the family.
