Marshall E. "Mike" Anderson, age 96, of Argyle, WI, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Sienna Crest Assisted Living, Inc. in Darlington, WI. He was born October 24, 1916 in Lafayette County, WI, the son of Edward and Clara (Vick) Anderson. Mike lived in the Argyle area all of his life, where he farmed for over 20 years. In 1952, he moved into Argyle, where he worked at Ostby's Garage for 28 years retiring in 1979. He also worked at Argyle Industries part time for six years. Mike was united in marriage to Donna (Everson) Hendrickson on May 20, 1967 at Yellowstone Lutheran Church in rural Blanchardville, WI.
Mike is survived by his wife: Donna at home; one son: Shawn Anderson of Brodhead, WI; three step-daughters: Connie (Ron) Pattinson of Belleville, WI, Lisa Langdok of Bloomington, MI, and Sheila (Chris) Andrews of Darlington, WI; four step-grandchildren: Tiffany (Dan) Meyers, Alana (Brandon) Black, Tanner (Carley McDonald) Andrews, and Sadie Pattinson; and one step-great-granddaughter: Bella Black. He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-daughter: Margo Anderson; and four sisters: Alice Penniston, Olive Ginner, Evelyn Simons, and Muriel Ostby.
Mike was a member of Yellowstone Lutheran Church and was a past member of Argyle Fire Department. Mike took pride in being a great dancer. Mike loved to laugh, tell jokes, and funny stories. He enjoyed "entertaining" and spending time with children. He also enjoyed repairing small engines.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Yellowstone Lutheran Church, 4472 Saints Road in Blanchardville with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Yellowstone Cemetery in Blanchardville. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 801 East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.
