STOCKTON - Lester William Talbert, 64, of Stockton, IL passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, IL. Lester was born on December 18, 1948 in Freeport to Lester and Margie (Brown) Talbert.

He was a graduate of DeVry University.

Lester married Katherine Margaret Meier on April 19, 1991 in New Glarus, WI.

Lester worked at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Federal Reserve Bank, Jones and Laughflin Steel, Micro Switch, and Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. He retired from Kelly-Springfield in 2006 after 32 years of service.

Lester enjoyed traveling with his wife, camping, fishing, and biking.

He is survived by his wife Kathy; sister-in-laws Trudy (James) Ross of Pearl City, IL and Barbara (Walter) Igl of Merrill, WI; brother-in-law Markus (Marlene) Meier of South Wayne, WI; one niece Brieanna Igl of Milwaukee, WI; two nephews Jon (Deanna) Lange of Dakota, IL and Eric (Tracy) Lange of South Wayne, WI; one great nephew Liam Lange and two great nieces Alyssa and Madyson Lange.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday June 6, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton, IL. A visitation will also be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, June 6 at the church.

Luncheon will follow the funeral service.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Gratiot, WI.

Officiating will be Father Dean Smith.

A memorial has been established in his name.
