Lena M. Gerlach, age 103, of Monroe, died on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on March 8, 1911 in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Henry and Julia (Ritschard) Wenger.
Lena and Carl Gerlach were married in 1948 in Milwaukee.
Lena was a devout Christian since she accepted Jesus Christ at age 16. She devoted her life to witnessing to others.
Lena was a member of Assembly of God in Milwaukee and Peace Church in Christ Browntown.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Lena is predeceased by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, Ernest, Carl, Theodore and Roy Wenger; sisters, Edna Miley, Alma Voegeli, Mae DeVillers, Elsie Schultz, and Sylvia Grossen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
