Laura Lynn Huston passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in her Monroe home on August 18th. Laura was born in St. Clare Hospital on February 2, 1958 to Bob and Shirley Dearth of Monroe. She attended St. Victor Grade School and graduated from Monroe High School in 1976. Laura married Greg Huston on October 2, 1976 and they were blessed with a daughter Sarah. She worked at Advance Transformer for many years. Along with her family Laura had a deep love and passion for animals. Laura owned many cats in her life and became an accomplished equestrian as a young girl with her horse Higgy. Laura found great joy in American Pharoah's Triple Crown triumph and was an avid Green Bay Packer, Wisconsin Badger, and Milwaukee Brewer fan.
Laura is survived by her daughter Sarah (Matt) Dobberke of Oshkosh, Sarah's father Greg, her mother Shirley Dearth of Monroe, sisters, Sandra (Walt J.) Dearth Rufener of Monroe and Linda (Kevin) Palmer of Freeport, IL, brother, Roger Dearth of Rochester, MN, nieces, Cindy Palmer and Tamela (Russ) Rocke, and nephews Benjamin Rufener and Daniel Dearth, Godparents, Gilbert and Ann Dearth - Kleckner of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her father Bob Dearth, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Dearth, and maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Rosa Alice Hornbeck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Monsignor Larry Bakke officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke (Shriner111.com) is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Monroe Christmas Stocking Fund.
