Julie Ann Ganshert age 72, passed away on June 18, 2015 after a brief illness. Julie was in the company of family and friends and people who knew her well. Julie was born August 15, 1942 at Dr. Ennis Hospital in Shullsburg, the daughter of Roy and Nora Ganshert. Surviving are her sister, Mary Kay ( Jack) Wardell and her brothers Dennis (Theresa) and Msgr. Daniel Ganshert and nieces and nephews, of whom she spoke of frequently and lovingly.
Julie was an active member of her community and touched many lives. She was deeply spiritual, had a great sense of humor, cared about her friends, their families and their cats. She had a sense of social justice and she wanted people to be kind.
A Mass of Christian Burial will held Wednesday June 24, 2015 11am at St. Bernard Catholic Church at 2450 Atwood Ave. Madison, with Msgr. Daniel Ganshert as the main celebrant. Visitation at the Church will begin at 9:30. Burial will be the following day 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Gratiot, WI.
