Joshua Scott Baumgartner, 30 years old, was Born September 30, 1980 in Monroe, Wisconsin. Josh passed on to the bigger family reunion in the sky January 20, 2011.
Josh graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School in 1999. He was an active member of the high school band for 5 years. He served as Drum Major for 2 years. He was very active in his 4-H club, winning many awards & recognitions for "Food & Nutrition". Joshua was also a member of a nationally recognized team from McLennan county 4-H.
Joshua's life long dream was to be a chef. He attended Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, S.C. He graduated in May 2001, with a degree in advanced Culinary Arts May 2001 Summa Cum Laude, for his French Cuisine and received the highest honor, the Silver Medal.
Josh worked as a chef and manager for Red Lobster Restaurants for 10 years, fulfilling his passion for all culinary things. He was dedicated to co-workers and to his many family and friends. Josh was always the first to help and the last to leave.
He is survived by his little dog "Luna", his parents Scott and Gale Baumgartner of Eddy, Texas, paternal grandparents Leon & Leona Baumgartner of Brodhead, Wisconsin and maternal grandparents, Tommy and Mattye Cheshier of Blue Ridge Texas. He leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved very much.
Honorary Pallbearers are Amanda Baumgartner, Alyssa Nagy, Grant Anderson, Blair Baumgartner. Services will be Saturday February 12, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Congregational UCC Church E201 23ST Brodhead, WI 53520.
