MONROE - Helen M. Aebly, 99, formerly of Oneco, IL, passed away on November 24, 2009 at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. Helen was born on March 12, 1910 in Albany, Green County, WI. She was the daughter of Frank and Hulda (Gabel) Pagel. She married Clarence J. Aebly on February 25, 1928 in Galena, IL. Clarence preceded Helen in death on May 30, 1980. Helen and Clarence owned and operated a produce market for many years in Oneco, IL. Helen also worked for Oaktron and Advance Transformer in Monroe for many years. She retired from work at age 65. Helen was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Monroe, WI. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are one son, Victor (Hattie) Aebly of Freeport, IL; one daughter, Nancy Barrett and Fiancée Walt Bandi, both of Monroe, WI; one daughter-in-law, Lois Aebly of Orangeville, IL. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nine brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville, IL.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
Rev. Tom McClellan of the Park Hills Evangelical Church will officiate the services.
Burial will be held in Oneco Township Cemetery Oneco, IL.
