Gladys E. Belke, age 86, of Monroe, died on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on November 4, 1927 in Mauston, WI; daughter of Raymond and Estella (Beckman) Barnwell.
Gladys was a 1945 graduate of Mauston High School.
Gladys and Raymond H. Belke were married on August 4, 1945 in Mauston.
She was a bookkeeper for Belke Oil.
Gladys enjoyed bingo, socializing and especially spending time with family.
She is survived by her sons, David (Ruthie) Belke of Monroe, Dale (Linda) Belke of Brodhead, Jim (Jeanie) Belke of Monroe, Thomas (Christopher Reichers) Belke of South Wayne; brother, Gordon (Barbara) Barnwell, of Glendale, CA; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Raymond, son, John, brother, Bill Barnwell and sister, Helen Sundby.
Per Gladys' wishes, graveside services will be held at a later date at Rose Cemetery in Mauston.
