Geraldine M. "Geri" Ott

Geraldine M. "Geri" Ott, age 84, of Monroe, died on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 8, 1927 in Hebron, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jack and Florence (Tolstead) Hauser, but after Florence's death Geraldine and her twin brother Gerald were adopted and raised by Henry and Mamie Hauser. She attended Richland School and Monroe High School, and at a later time obtained her GED, of which she was very proud. Geraldine and Theodore H. Ott were married on December 10, 1944 at St. John's United Church of Christ, where she remained a member throughout her life. Geri worked at the IGA grocery store. She later was a home care worker for Caring Hearts and a volunteer for the Senior Center.

Surviving are her children, Sherry L. Anderegg, Theodore A. (Suzanne) Ott, Linda L. Ott, Steven H. (Connie) Ott, Wendy K. (David) Bolding, Shan M. (Baron) Wiley; grandchildren, Debra Johnson, Shelly Pollock, Jennifer Bedgood, Theodore W. Ott, Ella Ott, Ramie Ott, Andrea Bolding, Olivia Wiley, Vanessa Wiley; step-grandchildren, David (Jillian) Bolding, Amy (J.R.) Hinkson; great grandchildren, Kevin Johnson, Peter Johnson, Domenisha Underwood, Camryn Bedgood; step-great grandchildren, Alexander Bolding, Jack Hinkson, Nolan Hinkson, Kaitlyn Bedgood, Chess Bedgood; brothers, Gerald (Angie) Hauser, Jack (Marilyn) Hauser; Helen Fernstaedt, Belva (Laurence) Leverton, Joan (Fritz) Neuenschwander, also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; husband; sisters, Julia Burri, Gladys West and a brother, Robert Hauser.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ, with Rev. William T. Mike Heath officiating. Family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home. She will be sadly missed by her loving family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Geraldine's memory.
