WARREN - Francis D. Andrews, 85, of Warren formerly of Apple River, passed away on Saturday January 29, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. He was born on March 19, 1925 in Darlington, WI the son of Mervin and Mildred (Newsom) Andrews. Francis married Lucile A.E. Koehn on February 4, 1945 in Schapville, IL. Together they farmed nearly 10 years in the Darlington area. Francis worked at Atwood's in Stockton for 12 years. He and his wife ran the ITCO tractor and farm parts store in Apple River. He also worked in the bakery sanitation department for The Swiss Colony Factory in Monroe, WI. Finally he was owner operator of Andrew's Garage, on County DD near South Wayne, WI , until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time in the morning with the breakfast crowd downtown. He also loved camping.

Surviving are 4 sons - Carl (Jackie) Andrews of Warren, Dale (Donna) Andrews of Dakota, Wayne (Mary) Andrews of Monroe, and Greg (Louise) Andrews of Darlington; 2 daughters - Lila Andrews of Red Bluff, CA and JoAnn (James) Sargent of Shullsburg, WI; 20 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Arthur Andrews of Monroe and Ivan (Arlene) Andrews of Darlington; 2 sisters - Evelyn Dettwiler of Wisconsin Dells, WI and Dorothea (Ken) Rufer of Monroe; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucile in 1998, a sister Vivian J. Ethridge, and a daughter Esther Andrews in 2009.

Services will be held on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 31, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren

Officiating will be the Rev. Randall Nicholas.

Burial will held at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren.

A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
