Emmet K. Quinn age 74 of South Wayne, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 16, 1938 in Monroe; the son of Kenneth and Emma (Kippel) Quinn. Emmet and Gloria Drye were married on January 14, 1967 in Monroe and they farmed in the South Wayne area all his life. Emmet was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in South Wayne. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, socializing, farming and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria of South Wayne, his mother, Emma Zwiefel of Monroe; sons: Kevin (Sandy) Quinn of South Wayne; Mark Quinn of Chicago; daughters, Jana (Steve) Kilkelly of Dodgeville; Jill (Brian) Schultz of South Wayne; brother, Charles (Kelli) Quinn of Gratiot; sisters, JoAnn (Lavern) Flannery of Argyle; Marion (Matt) Olin of Janesville; Nancy (David) Gertsch of Gratiot; and 10 grandchildren: Jacob, Mitchell, McKenzie and Grant Quinn, Lacey and Seth Kilkelly, Lauren, Erika, Lilly and Mason Schultz, special nephew Jerry (Tina) Mau and special niece, Dena Drye.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother Patrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday January 25, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church in South Wayne, with Fr. John Bosco Pudhota celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Gratiot.

A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave. in Monroe.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Emmet's memory.
