FELONIES

• Felony charges were filed Monday against Lori M. Scott, 43, Monroe, for possession and manufacturing of THC and for maintaining a drug trafficking place. A misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia was also filed. The charges stem from a police investigation into a marijuana growing operation in the N2800 block of Pine Tree Road, Town of Jordan on April 20. Police found 55 pounds of processed marijuana, 30 marijuana plants and $20,000 in cash at Scott's residence. Scott's husband, Michael Scott, was charged in April with charges identical to Lori's. Lori Scott's complicity in the operation was unclear at the time of the investigation. Scott will appear in court for her initial appearance Oct. 29.

• Kevin Patrick Schauer, 17, Brodhead, was charged Monday with felony bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of entering an abandoned building. The charges stem from an incident Aug. 12, when Schauer and several others were found inside the abandoned middle school in Brodhead. When police investigated the interlopers, Schauer was found hiding in a closet. Schauer had apparently entered the building through an upper window. Schauer's charge violated his bond from an incident in July, when he was found in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the Town of Decatur. Schauer's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.

• Austin Dean Flood, 20, Albany, was charged Monday with felony bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of retail theft. The charge stemmed from an incident in Aug. 12 when he was caught shoplifting a bottle of Robitussin valued at $22.12 from the Monroe Pick 'n Save. This violated his bond from a July incident when he was found in possession of marijuana. Flood's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 1.
