Carolyn J. Eicholtz, age 79, of Monroe, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, WI. She was born December 24, 1934 in Monroe, WI the daughter of William and Alvina (Ackerman) Wood and graduated from Monroe High School, Green County Normal, and UW-Platteville College.
Carolyn married Robert Eicholtz on May 22, 1955 at Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Carolyn taught school in the Green County area and Bob and Carolyn owned and operated Monroe Floral Shop for 35 years.
Carolyn was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, 50-year member of Women of the Moose Chapter #599, and Retired Teachers Association.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Karen McKay of Mount Horeb and grandchildren, Cade, Cole, and Emily McKay; and great-granddaughter, Nora Jane Ignatius McKay. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Robert.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Dr. and N. 18th Avenue in Monroe with pastor Jesse Larson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 Noon Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorials in Carolyn's memory may be given to Union Presbyterian Church of Monroe or to one's charity of choice.
