On January 1:

● At 1:10 a.m., officers were called to vehicle versus utility pole accident with no reported injuries in the 1000 block of 8th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle which was westbound on 8th Street, operated by Melquiceded Martinez Olles, 30, of Monroe, left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. Martinez Olles’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. Martinez Olles was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-2nd offense and was also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, failure to maintain control of the vehicle and operating without insurance. Martinez Olles was released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.

On January 8: 

● At 12:16 p.m.. officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 500 block of 8th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Amy R. Burkhalter, 54, of Monroe, was turning on to 8th Street from a business driveway and collided with a westbound vehicle operated by a Monroe man. Burkhalter’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed, while the other vehicle sustained minor damage. Burkhalter was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a private drive and was released pending a court appearance.

On January 9:

● At 4:42 p.m., officers were called to a report of a retail theft at a business in the 400 block of West 8th Street. An investigation led to the arrest of Brooke L. Helley, 44, of Albany, on a charge of retail theft. Helley was booked and released pending a court appearance.

On January 13:

● At 11:48 a.m., officers arrested Levi J. Rundle, 28, of Albany, in the 1900 block of 29th Avenue, stemming from a January 11, 2025 incident in the 1400 block of Parkview Drive. Rundle was charged with disorderly conduct while armed and two (2) counts of felony bail jumping due to violations of bail conditions from prior cases. Rundle was also taken into custody on an apprehension order from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation and confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
