What are the top issues facing this board/council and how would you resolve them?

Brodhead must develop our economic base so we can fill empty storefronts and encourage more families to purchase our homes. Brodhead must first work with the DNR and Brodhead's citizens to revitalize our natural resources. Brodhead's perfect location, north of Chicago's suburbs, west of Milwaukee and south of Madison, is easily accessible for motorists on less than a tankful of gas. Making year-round outdoor recreation available for tourists will bring revenue to our stores and restaurants and hopefully encourage entrepreneurs and potential new business owners to see Brodhead as the "Diamond in the Rough" that it is and worthy of a new business location.

Second, we need to reach out and partner with existing Brodhead businesses as there may be complimentary businesses willing to relocate or open branches in Brodhead. We can form "Brodhead Ambassadors," a special team of citizens to meet with potential new business. The ambassadors would be prepared with a structured sales presentation "The Many Reasons to Relocate to Brodhead."

Third, Brodhead must help families feel welcome and encourage all citizens to share ideas and get involved in our city.
