BRODHEAD - Bank of Brodhead has announced the promotion of Glenn Marass to vice president of ag lending.
Marass has more than 38 year of experience working with the farmers in the surrounding communities.
In his role, he manages the bank's agricultural portfolio. He also takes a consultative approach to working with existing and prospective agricultural/agribusiness customers, assisting them with all of their financial needs.
Marass is a native of Carpentersville, Illinois, and attended Dundee High School. He received a degree in ag economics from Western Illinois University, and his first banking employment was at Farmers and Merchants Bank of Orfordville from 1978 through 1984. The next two years he worked at the Valley Bank of Seymour in Seymour.
From 1986 until 2013, he was employed in Juda at the Bank of Juda, Sugar River Bank. He joined the Bank of Brodhead as ag loan officer in 2013 and was elected as a director to the bank's board in 2014.
Marass and his wife, Robin, have six children. His wife is a teacher's aide in Juda Schools.
