MONROE - The Monroe Police Department is seeking public assistance in the investigation of a burglary that occurred at a Monroe business over the weekend.
Monroe police were informed of the burglary at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday at Precision Drive and Control Inc. at 504 11th St.
No sign of forced entry was discovered at the business, according to a Monroe police news release. Various tools and equipment - a combination of power tools, generators, electrical supplies and more - valued at more than $50,000 were reported stolen.
The burglary is believed to have occurred during the night hours of New Year's Eve, with the items being removed from the scene by a large vehicle.
