MONROE - Blackhawk Technical College's Monroe Campus will host an Agricultural College Preview Day Friday. The event will give students and graduates of southern Wisconsin the opportunity to investigate area agricultural schools and the programs they feature.

In addition to BTC, representatives from the University of Wisconsin, Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Highland Community College, Eastern Iowa Community College and University of Wisconsin-Platteville are scheduled to attend and promote their schools' agriculture programs.

Pam Jahnke, the broadcaster from the Wisconsin Farm Report, will be the keynote speaker following a noon lunch.

In the afternoon, participants will be able to tour local agribusinesses.

The event begins at 9 a.m. with an hour-long chance for students to meet representatives from the different colleges. At 10 a.m., workshops explaining career opportunities, financial aid programs and the expectations of employers in the agriculture field will be held.

To RSVP, contact Dustin Williams, a BTC agriculture instructor, at 608-391-0238 or at dwilliams61@blackhawk.edu.
