Brandi's taking part in 'Brides Across America'

NEW GLARUS - On Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16, Brandi's Bridal Galleria, Etc., 12 14th Ave. in New Glarus, will be taking part in the national "Brides Across America" campaign to give free wedding dresses to military brides.

The mission of "Operation Wedding Gown" is to give away free wedding gowns to military brides on a national basis. Brides Across America has donated more than 10,000 gowns to military brides, who often find it difficult to plan a wedding because of deployment or her fiancé's deployment, injury or other hardship.

To qualify for Brides Across America, brides or their fiancé must be serving in the military either currently deployed, have future deployment or have been deployed within the last five years to Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East, Korea or Japan. Brides must be preregistered for this event and bring proper identification along with deployment papers to be presented the day of the event.

Brandi's Bridal Galleria, Etc. event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Brandi's Bridal Galleria will be offering a selection of free gowns from their designers such as Maggie Sottero, Martina Liana, Jim Hjelm, Pronovias brands, Allure and more.
