MONROE - Monroe High School has a new assistant principal.

The Monroe school board Monday night formally approved the hiring of Nick Schultek as assistant principal to replace Mike Brukwicki, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Schultek is principal at an alternative high school in West Allis.
