MONROE - Artists are needed by Main Street Monroe to decorate 100 cans for the summer 2014. The milk cans are part of the Main Street Monroe's two-year "Farmin' on the Square" celebration.
Designs of the cans should be related to Green County, and include cheese, agriculture, heritage and landmarks. Cans cannot be political, religious or obscene. Acrylic paints are recommended on the cans; some cans may need a primer first. Artists will supply their own paint. Those who decorate a can should sign the bottom of the can with their names, no bigger than 4 inches wide.
Those who are interested in painting a can can email squarescoop@gmail.com. Cans are due by Sunday, April 20.
