Monroe Police

On March 26:

● At approximately 1:27 a.m. , Officers were conducting an investigation in the 1900 block of l0th Avenue. While on the call for service, Officer became aware of Samantha R.M. Estep, 36, Monroe, violation conditions of bond through Green County Circuit Court. Samantha was arrested and Jailed at the Green County Jail on two counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Samantha was held pending bond or court.

● At approximately 2:01 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of 10th Avenue, for a vehicle that was parked illegally in the roadway, blocking traffic. Investigation into the stop resulted in the driver, Matthew R. Koller, 33, Orangeville, Illinois, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence 1st Offense. Matthew was also cited for Illegally Parking of a Vehicle and warned for Illegible License Plate. Matthew was later released to a responsible party, pending court.


Monticello Police

On March 11:

● At approximately 11:46 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of Garfield Street for a reported 911 call.  The area was checked and no one in distress was located. 

On March 12:

● At approximately 9:23 a.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of South Avenue for a power type line down and laying in the roadway.  TDS was contacted and responded to fix the matter. 

On March 13:

● At approximately 10:13 a.m., Officers received information of an ordinance violation.  A citizen allowed their dog to defecate in someone’s property.  The matter is under investigation. 

● At approximately 6:11 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation in the 500 block of S. Monroe Street.  As a result of the traffic stop, Justin R. Blum, 26, of Monticello was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no proof of insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 6:44 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation in the 500 block of S. Monroe Street.  As a result of the traffic stop, Brayden W. Ryan, 19, of Monticello was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no proof of insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.   

On March 14:

● At approximately 8:29 a.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello First Response also responded. 

On March 15:

● At approximately 7:15 a.m., Officers responded to the Village of Blanchardville under a mutual aid request. 


Brodhead Police

On March 11:

● 7:20 p.m. Police responded to the 700 block of 12th St for a report of trespassing. The subject left prior to police arrival.

March 12:

● 7:48 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for the report of  Vandal-ism; a car was “egged”. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

● 11:06 p.m., Police responded to the 200 block of 12th St. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a subject ringing a doorbell and leaving the area. Police checked the area but did not locate any other suspicious behavior.
