MONROE - A traffic accident caused a closure of Wisconsin 69 between Monroe and Monticello on Wednesday, March 12.
Vehicles were re-routed to Harper Road to Gutzmer Road in order to get back on Wis. 69 north, which was about a two-and-a-half mile detour. The two-vehicle accident occurred in the N5500 block of Wis. 69 and did not appear to result in any fatalities, according to Green County Sheriff Mark Rohloff.
Rohloff said the accident was originally called in as a vehicle on fire, but when deputies and EMS arrived on scene there no was evidence of fire.
Rohloff said he was watching a live feed of the accident and that there appeared to be an adult male in custody.
