MONROE - Local band Untamed will play from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Twining Park bandshell.
There is no charge for the concert, which is sponsored by the Monroe Morning Optimists.
The band features two members of the Optimist Club: Melissa Kieler and Dan Thorp.
Untamed has been performing for six years in many venues, including bars, festivals and big stages. Bassist/vocalist Kieler sings and is flanked by axeman Kurt Kieffer, the bass riffs of Thorp and the pounding beats of Scott Gruenenfelder. Original hard rock music will mix with classic covers during the free concert.
