Don and Stella Svendsen recently marked their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Don's sister's farm on Oct. 21, 1961 near Argyle.

The couple has four Svendsen children: Terry, Donald, Gail and Cynthia. Don has eight stepchildren: Louie, Stanley, Norman, Albert, Stelda, Micky, Norma, and Tammy.

The family celebrated the anniversary by having a party Sunday, Oct. 23.
