noah dog visit

Abraham Lincoln students and staff had the great privilege of meeting a dog, Noah, last week.

Noah came as a follow-up to Unity Day and brought a message of kindness. His owner, Lisa Edge, talked about how our differences make us unique. Noah was born with no eyes and short back legs. He uses a wheelchair and wears a halo to help him get around. Noah can do everything other dogs do but might just do it a little differently. Students discussed what it means to be kind and how to show empathy to others.

Noah’s Legacy can be found on Facebook. The school is grateful to Abraham Lincoln parent Theresa Robertson and 4K teacher Molly Babler for organizing the event and to the Abe PTO for making a donation to Noah’s Legacy, which allowed him to visit.
