MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host "Astronomy Night at the Library: The Size and Scale of the Universe" at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 in the library's second-floor meeting room, 925 16th Ave.
The doors will open at 6:45 p.m.
Astrophysicist Kevin Manning, a former consultant with NASA, will share his lifelong passion and describe the size and scale of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders using hands-on activities and assorted visuals.
Following the presentation, a telescope will be set up outdoors for viewing the craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn and other objects in the night sky, weather permitting.
No pre-registration is required for the free program.
