MONROE — Pleasant View Nursing Home is celebrating National Nursing Home Week with the Pleasant View Olympic Games. Opening ceremonies begin Monday the 10th with the lighting of the torch passed from resident to resident ending with lighting the eternal flame. The “Olympic” events will be held Wednesday, May 12 at 1:45 p.m. in front of the building.
The three PVNH neighborhoods of Lane, Trail, and View will compete for the gold. Each neighborhood has chosen an elite team of staff “athletes” to represent them. The residents of Lane, Trail, and View will be there cheering them on. This event not only affords our residents an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors after a long COVID Winter, but also promotes unity with residents and staff alike.
Each resident will also be able to experience the excitement of being a part of a team, building personal and team pride.
The public is welcome and even encouraged to join staff and residents for the Pleasant View Olympic Games.
