Parks and Rec to offer children's dance classes

MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is once again offering dance classes. All dance programs will begin on Sunday, Oct. 12, and end on Sunday, Nov. 30. Classes will be held at the Community Center (basement of Monroe City Hall) and the cost to participate is $26 for Monroe residents and $33 for non-residents. Paige Hoesly and Rebecca Flannery will be the instructors.

Pre-Ballet is offered to children 3 to 5 years of age and will meet from 5 to 5:30 p.m.

Dora's Dance Fiesta is offered to children 3 to 5 years of age and will meet from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

Ballet is offered to children ages 6 years and older and will meet from 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Hannah Montana Dance is offered to children ages 6 years and older and will meet from 6:45-7:30 p.m.

Due to the popularity of these classes, children will only be allowed to register for one class per session to allow as many participants as possible to enjoy these great dance classes. People interested in additional classes may be put on a waiting list.

Register at the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department, 1110 18th Ave., Monroe. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
