DARLINGTON — Darlington used a four-run sixth to down Potosi-Cassville in a 6-4 win on Wednesday, April 24. 

Maddox Goebel lined a one-out single to center. Darlington then loaded the bases as Breylin Goebel walked and Regan Jackson was hit by a pitch. Gage Banfield then delivered a two-RBI double to left. Jackson broke the tie, scoring on a passed ball. Zeke Zuberbuhler drove in the final run with a sacrifice fly.

Maddox Goebel finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Carson Mosley picked up the win, giving up one unearned run on three hits. He struck out two and walked one in 5 1/3 innings. 


DARLINGTON 5, FENNIMORE 4

FENNIMORE — Breylin Goebel stranded the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, inducing a groundout to end the game in favor of the Redbirds on Tuesday, April 23.

Breylin Goebel earned the save, ensuring teammate Jackson got the win. Jackson pitched 3 2/3 innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits. At the plate, he was 2-for-3 with a double, home run and two RBIs to lead the team.


MONROE 6, WHITEWATER 4

WHITEWATER — The Cheesemakers scored two in the top of the seventh and held off the Whippets for a Rock Valley Conference win on Tuesday, April 23.

Keegan Dahmen and Marcus Ott accounted for the only hits, but the team drew eight walks. Dahmen and Logan Meier got two free passes each.

Dahmen picked up the win, giving up three earned runs on three hits. He struck out eight and walked five. Ott pitched 1 1/3 innings relief of hitless ball.


BRODHEAD-JUDA 15, EDGERTON 14

EDGERTON — The Cardinals were on the winning end of a slugfest on Tuesday, April 23. Between the two teams there were 18 hits.

Everyone in the Brodhead-Juda lineup tallied a hit, led by Brooks Malkow. The third baseman went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Clayton Elliott and Ryan Searls tallied two hits and two RBIs each in the win.

Sam Searls got the start and earned the win. He gave up six unearned runs on six hits. He struck out three but walked seven. Evan Senobe recorded the final out for the save.


NEW GLARUS 3, BELLEVILLE 2

BELLEVILLE — New Glarus outfielder Jake Roth threw out Logan Derke attempting to score the game-tying run in a Capitol Conference game on Tuesday, April 23. With the win, the No. 10 Knights remain undefeated.

With his outfield assist and 2-for-3 performance at the plate, Roth earned the team’s golden shovel award. Zander Hauser and Nolan Julseth also contributed to the offense, going a combined 5-for-7.

Alt picked up the win. He gave up two earned runs on two hits, striking out eight. Leyton Mihlbauer pitched one inning of one-hit ball to earn the save. 


ALBANY-MONTICELLO 13, 

ARGYLE-BLACK HAWK 7

MONTICELLO — The Ponies scored nine runs in the bottom of the sixth to complete their comeback win over the Orioles on Monday, April 22.

The top two batters in the order — Tyler Constantini and Brayden Bakken — went a combined 4-for-7 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Tyler Patchen pitched two innings to pick up the win. He struck out three and didn’t issue a walk.

Will Helfvogt led ABH, going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI. Ike Waage suffered the loss, giving up four earned runs.  


PECATONICA 10,  MONTICELLO-ALBANY 0

BLANCHARDVILLE — The Vikings scored in all but the second inning in a Six Rivers East win over the Ponies on Tuesday, April 23.

Jameson Johnson had the hot bat, going 2-for-3 with a double, home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Drew Hendrickson also tallied two hits. Tyler McKeon pitched all six innings in the win. He gave up just two hits and struck out 12.

Cody Pryce and Patchen tallied those two hits. Constantini was the only other batter to reach base via walk. Pryce suffered the loss, giving up six earned runs. He struck out four and walked four.
