MONROE — The Bel Canto Singers will present their annual Christmas concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1724 14th Street, Monroe. This is a new venue this year for the group’s popular Christmas concert.
The Bel Canto Singers are directed by Allen Redford and accompanied by Cindy Blanc. The group includes more than 50 singers from the stateline area. Numerous instrumentalists will also be featured, including the Pecatonica String Quartet, organist Deborah Krauss Smith, violinist Robert Eversman, harpist Christina Parkinson, percussionist Peter Minucci, saxophonist Deb Krattiger, flutists Maggie Setterstrom and Kate Bernet and clarinetist Peggy Miller. Julie Shipe-McClain, Peggy Miller and Cindy Blanc will also play handbells.
Admission is $10 at the door. There are no advance ticket sales.
