MONROE — The board of NAMI Green County has started a scholarship program which will award a $1,000 scholarship to an individual from Green County looking to pursue a career in mental health.
The deadline to apply is March 29.
The group is seeking graduating seniors with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and plan to attend a college or technical school. Scholarship funds will be paid in December or January 2020 for the second semester of the student’s first year directly to the college and not to the student. Applicants must have the endorsement of their guidance counselor on their application attesting they are a qualified fit for this scholarship program.
Completed applications can be mailed to: NAMI Green County, P.O. Box 343, New Glarus, WI 53574.
Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by the board of directors. Applications may be downloaded from the NAMI Green County website at www.namigreencounty.org
