MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild is offering winter classes starting this month.
"Dancercise" is held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning Jan. 11. Those who want to participate, and are 17 and older, can dance this class that is designed to be fun and no-pressure. Each week a new dance style is set to Top 40s music. The cost for the six-week class is $30 for either Wednesday or Friday classes and $55 for both days. "Munchkin Masterpieces" will be held on Friday mornings from 10 to 10:30 a.m. starting Jan. 27. It runs for six weeks. The class is designed for children age 3 to 6 and their adult helper. The cost is $22 for MTG members or $25 for non-members.
"Home School Art" is from 11 a.m. to noon for ages 7 to 11 or from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. for ages 12 and older on Fridays, starting Jan. 27. Cost for the six-week session is $40 for members or $45 for non-members.
Women are invited to join MTG's "Women's Art" that is held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every other week on Monday, starting Jan. 23. No experience is necessary to join. Those who participate will be experimenting with textures, photos, objects and paper clay in the "Steam Punk" style of assembled art. Cost for the five-class session is $50 for MTG members or $55 for non-members.
