Meeting to explain aquatic invasive species

DODGEVILLE - A public meeting will be held to provide information about aquatic invasives and what can be done to minimize their spread. The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at the Iowa County Health and Human Services building, 303 W. Chapel St., Dodgeville.

Don Barrette, Southwest Badger's aquatic invasive species specialist, will provide a brief summary of the threat of aquatic invasives and recommendations for educating user groups on the dangers and impacts of transporting aquatic invasive species. The goal is to help local, regional and state partners understand the size and complexity of aquatic invasive species issues in southwest Wisconsin
