JUDA - Memorial Day services will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Juda. The program begins with the Juda Fire Department raising the flag, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Juda Boy Scouts. The Juda Middle School Band and Choir will provided musical selections during the program.
A special feature this year will be a tribute given by Pat Yeagle in memory of former Juda resident, Francis (Mike) Kaster. Yeagle will share details of Kaster's service years in the Panama Canal zone and in France where he helped lay telephone lines into Paris.
After an address by the Rev. Thomas Miller, John Walters will read the Juda Roll of Honor, listing the names of all veterans buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, and of those from the community who are buried elsewhere.
