Juda: Belleville family takes second at Holstein show

The futurity took place on June 13, 2008 during the 59th annual District 6 Holstein Show held in Janesville.
JUDA - The fifth annual District 6 Holstein Futurity was held on June 13 in Janesville in conjunction with the District 6 Holstein Show. Out of 62 entries made three years ago, 15 of them were presented in hopes of claiming one of 10 cash prizes.

The Sarbacker family of Fischerdale Farms, Verona, exhibited the first place cow, Fischerdale Marshmallow-ET. She received the $500 prize sponsored by Kuhn Knight Inc., Brodhead, as well as 25 percent of the purse, totaling over $850 in winnings.

Second place went to Bell-Air Champion Giselle exhibited by Cynthia and Daniel Ziegler of Belleville. She was awarded a cash prize of $250 sponsored by Chris Gransee Hoof Trimming, Evansville, as well as 20 percent of the purse for a total payout of nearly $525.

Rounding out the top 5 were as follows:

• Glenn-Ann Titanic Penney-ET, exhibited by Glenn-Ann Holsteins, Albany

• Jeffery-Way Tamatha, exhibited by Jeffrey-Way Holsteins, Belleville

• Dieckhoff Eland Liberty, exhibited by Joel Dieckhoff, Brodhead.
