MONROE — Denise Miller, SSM Health Monroe Cancer Care Scheduler, is the newest recipient of the BEE Award. 

The BEE Award was created to recognize any non-nursing staff members who demonstrate excellent quality care, extraordinary compassion, focus on the patient and the patient’s needs and effective collaboration with other members on the patient care team.

Denise was nominated by two different team members. One of which was April Zettle, RN, whose nomination shared: “Denise has such a kind heart, contagious smile, upbeat personality, and unmeasurable compassion and commitment to not only her patients, but their families, and her coworkers alike. She works tirelessly to help coordinate appointments to ensure patients receive the care they need, while trying to limit trips to the clinic. She knows how difficult it can be for some patients to navigate multiple appointments. Denise takes the extra time to make our patients feel loved and valued, and that is certainly one way to ‘WOW’ each guest, so they feel like they are the most important person in the world!”
