MONROE — During the month of February, Monroe Clinic is offering Cardiac Calcium Scoring for $75 for all appointments completed or scheduled during February as a Heart Health Month Special. This test is available all year at the price of $92.
The screening involves a CT scan that results in 70 to 90 images of coronary arteries that are reviewed and analyzed by experienced radiologists. Taking less than 15 minutes, no injections or invasive procedures are required. This test is recommended for men age 40 and older and women age 50 and older who have heart health risk factors such as family history of heart disease, smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, blood pressure or high stress levels.
