MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will be holding a session of ballroom dance lessons from Monday, April 6 through April 27. The class will run for four consecutive Mondays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Behring Senior Center of Monroe.
The class will offer instruction in fox trot, waltz, swing, polka and the schottische and is taught by Judy and Gil Oberdas. The fee is $48 per couple for Monroe residents and $62 for non-residents. As of March 17, there is one opening available.
To register for the class, stop in at the Park and Recreation Department, located in the basement of City Hall, 1110 18th Avenue, Monroe. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
